Day 9 – Where Art Speaks to the Soul 

Today, our Newman family traded nature trails for creative trails and stepped into the world of visual expression at the Vancouver Art Gallery — renowned as one of North America's most innovative visual arts institutions.

From contemporary masterpieces to thought-provoking installations, our students wandered through galleries filled with colour, emotion, and stories waiting to be discovered. 

Some paused to sketch their favourite works, others reflected quietly, and many engaged in animated discussions about what the art meant to them. It was more than just a visit — it was a conversation between the artists and our students across time and space.

Art has a unique power to inspire, challenge, and heal. And today, it did all three.
