Highlights:

This morning's English Friday assembly featured an engaging book-sharing session by Senior 3 students, continuing Newman Catholic College's dedication to the "NCC R.R.R.R: Read, Run, Reflect, Rejoice" campaign. Centred on the captivating novel Knights of the Borrowed Dark, the presentation beautifully brought the story's key characters, Denizen Hardwick and the Stranger, to life through an onstage role-play. The performance illustrated the protagonist's internal struggle against negative thoughts, with the characters encouraging the audience to stand firm in the face of fear. Moreover, the student presenters engaged the audience with a series of insightful, reflective questions. They explored the significance of choosing the "hard right" over the "easy wrong"—a message highly relevant to students currently facing busy schedules and upcoming examinations. This assembly perfectly aligned with the SOW Campaign, "SOW the Reading Seed – Discover as You Read," by integrating language learning with values education. It inspired the entire school community to overcome challenges and discover deeper life wisdom through literature.
