Highlights:
The English Friday assembly focused on mental health and coping strategies. Students from Class 5E2 came on stage to share practical, student-friendly ways to support ourselves when we feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed. They introduced a range of strategies, including breathing exercises to calm the body, physical activities to lift mood and reduce stress, and expressive arts such as drawing, painting, colouring, or journaling to express feelings. The presentation also highlighted mindfulness to help us concentrate on the present moment, positive self-talk to replace negative thoughts, and the importance of establishing routines for stability. Students further shared the value of social support, spending time with supportive friends and family, and taking time in nature to reset. Finally, teachers joined the session to demonstrate examples and remind students that asking for help is always encouraged—because “you are not alone.”
