In a momentous gathering, students and esteemed English educators from 22 distinguished Catholic secondary schools convened for the Joint-School English Speaking Practice, a remarkable opportunity for students to engage in spirited discourse with peers in an unfamiliar yet stimulating environment.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the meticulous arrangements made by Newman Catholic College, which ensured that all participants, including students and examiners, were comfortably seated and poised for this extraordinary speaking exchange. The event commenced with a reverent prayer led by Vice Principal Ng, in conjunction with Mr. Wong, the head of Religion, who together invoked blessings from the Lord for this invaluable learning experience.
Anticipation and eagerness filled the air as students prepared to embark on four rounds of enlightening group discussions and individual responses, skillfully employing the latest past examination papers. This endeavor aimed to equip our scholars with the essential skills required for the imminent DSE speaking examination.
