Highlights:
The morning assembly centred on the theme "Mindfulness: Reduce Stress in Everyday Life," marking the final English Friday of the 2024/2025 academic year. The primary objective was to raise awareness about mental health and illustrate how a brief 5-minute meditation can effectively alleviate stress and anxiety. Eight students were invited to the stage to demonstrate the meditation session while lying on yoga mats, inspiring their peers to participate. Teachers and students had the option to either stand or sit according to their comfort.
With the lights dimmed and soothing music playing, Mr. Lam, who claimed to have been a DJ before, delivered a live monologue. His calm and soothing voice guided everyone through a peaceful meditation experience, allowing students to focus on their breath and centre themselves amid the tranquil atmosphere. Following the meditation, the eight students shared their reflections, highlighting feelings of calmness and emphasizing the positive effects of the practice on their mental well-being.
We extend our gratitude to all the students and teachers who actively participated in English Fridays. This assembly not only offered a moment of serenity but also equipped students with valuable tools for managing stress as they prepare for upcoming exams. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the 2025/2026 academic year!
